Project 1: Typological Analysis
This project involved analytical diagrams, plans and sections, and a study model, with a focus on tectonic and stereotomic qualities of a specific structure. My focus was a typology: the Musgum Tolekekay, a historic style of construction and village largely located within Cameroon.

While each structure is stereotomic, the whole is additive and inherently tectonic, merely appearing as one mass through the connections between each unit.
Each unit is not equally interchangeable, serving different functions but following the same circular geometry.

Project 2: 12 Strangers
This project involved designing a table, and a meeting and living space, for 12 international delegates from the United Nations Security council, coming together to address an ongoing international crisis.
The table is intended to be the central space of official meetings and policy writing for the delegates, encouraging different configurations. A clear program for the process of each meeting is set through
the motion and positioning of the petals, with a constant fracturing and reunification of conversation.

Combining inspiration from diplomatic retreats and official UN chambers, the structure fosters spaces for untraditional means of negotiation and discussion as the diplomats live and work together, while still centering the gravity of the group’s duties to the global community through visual form and program.
